Finnmark Ressursselskap AS is owned by both Hammerfest and Kvalsund municipalities. The company was established in 1987 and is a regional receiving station for most types of refuse from the business sector, as well as collecting household refuse for the two municipalities. Finnmark Ressursselskap emphasises the importance of environmentally friendly refuse handling. We aim to be amongst the best in sorting recyclable refuse. In this way we will reduce refuse that cannot be recycled, and encourage refuse sorting for both the household and business sectors.The sorting facility
The administration office and the sorting facility are situated at Grøtnes, 17 km from Hammerfest and 16 km from Kvalsund. At the facility both private households and businesses can sort and deliver most types of refuse.Opening hours at sorting facility at Grøtnes

Recycling Points and Environmental Stations
The municipalities have established Recycling Points for households to deliver recyclable resources.There are also Environmental Stations for toxic waste.
